What should our family do?

Before resetting the phone

  1. Check whether the service has an official incident.
  2. Try a regular phone call or text message.
  3. Confirm the phone still has Wi-Fi or cellular service.
  4. Wait for the next official update if the source is unavailable.
  5. Reset only after the incident is resolved or ruled out.

Checklist Routing

Each status or alert should route to the guide that helps a family finish the setup or decision calmly.

YouTube Live

Watch the live status stream after checking the text summary

The text status comes first so families can get the answer without waiting for a player. The live player can be embedded here once the stable YouTube live video or channel ID is confirmed.

Status note: Parent Tech Status reports known official incidents and verified public alerts. It does not prove that a specific device, account, network, or emergency situation is safe.

Data boundary: Official sources should be fetched server-side, normalized once, then shared by the website and live stream. Public browser code must not expose private API keys, OAuth tokens, parser secrets, or internal rules.
